Christine Chen

CHRISTINE W. CHEN is an Academy-qualified film producer, director, and writer with a B.A. from Rice University and an MBA from the University of Texas McCombs. Since 2004, she has crafted over 20 short films, 2 narrative features, 1 vertical feature, 1 documentary, and contributed to numerous other projects as a producer, shooter, editor, and 1st assistant director.

Christine’s film journey began in 2004 with a documentary funded by Rice University, set in Lijiang, China, which still serves as a teaching tool for Mandarin and Chinese culture. Transitioning to narrative films in 2008, she founded her production company, Moth to Flame, in 2010. Initially focusing on commercial work for brands like Nike and HP, Christine never wavered in her passion for cinematic storytelling.

Balancing her business with her creative pursuits, Christine produced acclaimed short films such as “A Bird’s Nest” and “Ya Albi,” available on Amazon and ShortsTV, and showcased at festivals like the New Orleans Film Festival, Hollyshorts, and Bermuda International Film Festival.

Christine ventured into feature filmmaking with her debut, “Funemployment,” a crowdfunded film with a $30,000 budget, which she boldly self-distributed. Building on this, she secured funding for “Erzulie,” a dark comedy adventure thriller about a killer swamp mermaid goddess. With a $225,000 budget, the film debuted on June 14, 2022, across VOD platforms.

In 2019, Christine published “Get Reelisms,” a practical guide for aspiring filmmakers navigating set life. Since 2016, she has been a full-time 3rd area DGA qualified 1st Assistant Director. Recently relocating from Austin to Los Angeles, Christine continues to refine her craft as a writer and director.

Erik Van Lenten

Erik Van Lenten is an accomplished Director of Photography based in Atlanta, GA, with over a decade of experience in the film industry. His distinguished portfolio features notable projects such as “Give Me an A” (feature segment), “Space Pups” (feature), “F Plus” (feature), and “Valentines Town” (feature). Erik is deeply committed to the storytelling potential of film, consistently bringing emotional depth and authenticity to his work. His expertise in cinematography allows him to capture compelling narratives with precision and skill, establishing him as a respected and reliable professional in the field.

Jozefina

Jozefina is in a unique class of cinematographers–a Polish woman on the rise looking to bring a Eastern European perspective to the West. When it comes to color and light, her trademark lies at the intersection of vibrancy and simplicity. When on a project, she works the details to exhaustion. She says preparation is her strongest ally and she never leaves anything to chance.


Now based in New Orleans, Louisiana, her career has spanned the world–from her early days at Krzysztof Kieslowski Film School to work on feature films, documentaries, music videos, and commercials in Germany, Spain, Columbia, the U.S. and more. She’s collaborated with notable artists, such as Oscar-nominated Tomaz Baginski, and she’s worked on multiple award-winning projects, such as Kos-Krauze and Krauze’s The Birds Are Singing in Kigali (2017), which showed at the Chicago International Film Festival. Her latest project saw her traipsing through the heart of the Mississippi Delta as Director of Photography on the feature film Love Dog (2022), which premiered at Locarno Film Festival.

James Bartol

James Bartol is a New York-based production designer and art director known for creating immersive atmospheres that greatly inform and enhance narrative experiences. Recently, his work was featured at SXSW with the premiere of Late Bloomers. This coming-of-age film follows the relationship between a millennial Brooklynite and an elderly Polish woman and marks James’ first-time collaboration with director Lisa Steen.

A veteran of the festival circuit, James’s work has been screened at Cannes Film Festival, SXSW Film Festival, and Tribeca Festival, among others. His client base ranges from film to print and also includes Levi’s, Nordstrom, Estée Lauder, TruTV, Investigation Discovery, and MTV. James also notably served as production designer for director Nicole Gomez-Fisher’s Good Egg, a feature following a high school drama teacher’s unconventional journey to motherhood, as well as Age of Influence, a six-part docu-series that dramatizes several famous internet influencers-turned-scammers for ABC News and Hulu.

Currently, James is working on The Beltlands, a 1980s period piece set in the Rust Belt from director Nathan Catucci. His diverse body of work showcases his ability to cultivate and immerse audiences into a variety of story worlds, regardless of size, location, or time period, in service of story.  James is a graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and an alum of the Berlinale Talents program in production design.  He currently resides in New York City.

Brian C. Dee

Brian C. Dee is an award winning Director of Photography based in New York City. Born
and raised in NJ, Brian graduated from the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan. From there, he
ventured out to the west coast.

During his time in Los Angeles, Brian honed his skills on a multitude of various
productions including live events, music videos, branded content, commercials, and reality. In
2018, Brian returned to New York city.

Over the past 3 years, he has continued to build an impressive body of work, including
The Weeknd’s live performance of Blinding Lights at the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards, and
most recently winning Collaborative Video of the Year at the 2021 CMT Awards for Chris Young
and Kane Brown’s Famous Friends music video.

In August of 2021, Brian joined The Right Eye family, where he continues to push his
creativity even further.

Faroukh Mistry

After studying at two of the world’s topmost film schools, Faroukh Mistry shot his first theatrical feature at 25 with a legendary director in India. His early years were on movie sets with his mother, a famous movie star, and his dad, one of India’s greatest cinematographers.

Faroukh has shot over 900 commercials, documentaries, web series and features. His work has won the Promax, Genies, Abbys, Tellys and other National awards, including Best Cinematography for a Feature at FIOCCI, Venezuela. In addition, his films have been screened at various festivals, including at Cannes.

Faroukh has worked with Clio and Academy winning directors. He has directed, shot and produced major shows for networks like Sony, Fox, Star, Sky and Fremantle. He is based out of New York and Mumbai and shoots worldwide.

Nick Kennedy

Nick Kennedy has been creating stories since he was a child. A recent graduate from Pace University, the young and upcoming Brooklyn based filmmaker has had official selections in several festivals through out the city, including The Independent Short Awards and Manhattan Repertoire Stories. Nick has a particular love for creating thought provoking and innovative narratives through the film and television medium. With specialization in Directing, writing and editing in both film and theater, Nick has obtained a well rounded sense of creating any type of story.

Antonio Riestra ASC, ACK, AEC

Antonio began his career as a still photographer in his own B&W lab at home. After breaking into the industry, Antonio’s first assignment was as a field photographer working closely with first nations in Mexico and Canada.
He then moved on to a BTS documentary of a Swedish/Danish production, Puma’s Daughter. Soon after, he began working in the camera department on Clear and Present Danger and later found himself pulling focus on several commercials for Ultrafilms. This lead him to becoming the 1st AC for DP’s Chivo Lubezki, Declan Quinn, John Campbell, Pascal Rabaud, and Rodrigo Prieto who gave him his first 2nd Unit DP job on Frida.

Antonio then shot his first full feature, Normal, in Prague, Czech Republic for which he was nominated for the Czech Lions.

His next film, Black Bread, earned him a both a Goya and a Gaudi Academy Award which started him on his way to a multinational career in the U.S., Czech Republic and Mexico.

He shot Last Knights starring Morgan Freeman and Clive Owen, The Bachelors with JK Simmons and Julie Delpy, and Face of Love with Annette Bening and Ed Harris among many others.

Antonio is currently based in Mexico City and LA. He is a member of the ASC, AČK and AEC and has both American and Mexican Citizenship with Long Term Residence in the Czech Republic.

Josiah Morgan

As a camera and Steadicam operator, Josiah Morgan, SOC loves collaborating with a team to imagine and create stunning shots and scenes.

With a background in graphic design, Josiah’s work exhibits a confident understanding of composition, color, and tone. Additionally, thanks to his motion graphics and editorial experience, he knows how to shoot for the edit.

Josiah has around the world worked on feature films, TV shows, network promos, commercials, documentaries, industrial films, extreme sports, and NGO fundraising films. Whatever the project, and whatever the shot, Josiah thrives on creating images that are worth remembering.
